In April 2012 the board of ADF agreed to a new membership and associateship structure.
There is a new application form which you can download and return to the ADF by post or by hand enclosing a cheque for the appropriate fee.

The ADF has level access, a Loop system and we arrange BSL on request for events. We prefer email communications for access, cost, speed and the environment.

Membership:
Membership is open to any disabled person aged over 18 who lives in Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland and who meets the criteria below.
Membership is free and runs for three years. Joining Gift donations from members are welcome but are entirely optional.
Associateship:
If you are NOT disabled or if you represent an organisation, you may show your support for our work by becoming an ADF Associate for a small, annual fee.
Income from membership goes directly back into projects that benefit disabled artists and audiences and help us to lever more project funds. Membership applications are reviewed by the Board every couple of months – we’ll get back to you to let you know when your membership starts. Meantime, we’ll email you info on events.
Fees are renewable 1st April, or the April after next if you join between October and March.
Criteria for Voting Members of the Arts & Disability Forum:
- They are disabled.
- They are over 18.
- They are living in Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland.
- They support the aims of the ADF.
- They are considered by the Board to be able to make informed decisions and responsibly exercise their powers as a member, with the support of an advocate as required.
- They have no conflicts of interest of ongoing and significant nature.
- There is no reason to believe that their membership would bring ADF into disrepute.
- They are not already suspended from membership for on grounds of breaking ADF policy (including Equal Opportunities, Bullying & Harassment policies).
Criteria for ADF Associates:
- They are individuals aged over 18 or representatives of an organisation.
- They are living / operating in Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland.
- They support aims of ADF.
- There is no reason to believe that their admittance would bring ADF into disrepute.
- They are not already suspended from being an ADF Associate on grounds of breaking ADF policy (including Equal Opportunities, Bullying & Harassment policies).
- Suspensions are notified to the Member or Associate, along with the duration and review process.
